We work with young people, families and partners, so we take looking after personal information seriously. This notice explains what we collect when you register your interest on this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Opportunity Is Now Here is a UK football development and community initiative. We are responsible (the “data controller”) for the personal information collected through this website.
If you have any questions about this notice or your information, email us at info@opportunity-academy.com.
When you register your interest, we collect:
— Your name
— Your email address
— Whether you are a young person, parent or guardian, coach or club, partner or sponsor, or other
— Your confirmation that you agree to be contacted
— The date and time you registered
We don’t ask for anything else through this form. Please don’t include sensitive information, such as health details, when you contact us.
We use your information to:
— Send you updates about our programmes, opportunities and ways to get involved
— Reply to you if you get in touch
— Understand who is interested in our work, for example how many registrations come from young people or parents
We will never sell your information or pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.
We rely on your consent to contact you. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing info@opportunity-academy.com or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
If you are 13 or over, you can register yourself. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must register for you.
We encourage everyone under 18 to talk to a parent or guardian before signing up. If we find out that someone under 13 has registered without a parent or guardian, we will delete their details.
Only members of the Opportunity Is Now Here team who need it to do their work.
We also use trusted service providers who handle information on our behalf, including Framer (our website and registration form), our email provider (which receives your registration), and any tools we use to manage our contact list. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
Some of these providers may store information outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law are in place.
We keep your details for as long as you want to hear from us. If you withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information, we will do so within 30 days, keeping only your email address on a “do not contact” list so we don’t contact you again by mistake.
We review our contact list at least every two years and remove anyone we haven’t been in touch with.
You have the right to:
— Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
— Ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
— Ask us to delete your information
— Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
— Withdraw your consent at any time
To use any of these rights, email info@opportunity-academy.com. We will respond within one month. A parent or guardian can make a request on behalf of a child under 13.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We may update this notice from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
